Embrace Winter
The Great Bear Chalet is fortunate that our geographic location allows us to experience definite seasons. As of mid November, early December we live in a Winter wonderland.
Snowshoe out the back door along the ancient grizzly trails of the Atnarko River, or we can head up “the hill” for a day of deafening quiet, deep backcountry powder and bright sunshine.
We ask that backcountry skiers provide their own equipment.
A late Coho salmon run provided us the opportunity to snowshoe with grizzly bears.
